The budget and planning permission

There was reference to planning reforms that were going through parliament (see subsequent post). The government is working on reducing the amount of planning guidance. The results are promised in the summer which, the government says, will provide simplicity and clarity. Whilst such an outcome is possible, it would be unusual. The government is also to consult on allowing more flexibility in changes of use of buildings to residential.
